Privacy

This note describes how I handle details you send through the site. Last updated: 2026.

Who I am

Singaporebuildsai is a one-person engineering practice based in one-north, Singapore. For privacy questions, write to [email protected]. This page is a description of how I work with messages you send. It is not a legal opinion and it does not replace advice from a qualified professional about the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What the forms collect

The brief form on the contact page collects your name, e-mail address, the text of your message, and an optional organisation name and phone number. It also records which focus you picked from the list, and that you ticked the consent box. A hidden timestamp is used only to ignore automated submissions that are sent too quickly or from a form left open for more than a day.

The signal-list form in the footer collects an e-mail address and a consent tick. Both forms include a honeypot field named “website”, which humans should leave blank. I use it to ignore obvious bot traffic.

What I use the details for

Brief details are used to reply to your enquiry and, if we continue, to arrange a call. Signal-list details are used to send occasional notes about what I am building and what broke. I do not sell these details. I do not use them for advertising.

The form handler on this site does not store submissions on the server. There is no database of briefs behind the page. In the ordinary case I read the message in order to reply, then keep the correspondence in my e-mail, which is how a practice keeps a working record of who wrote and what was agreed.

Cookies and localStorage

The site uses localStorage for a single preference flag so the cookie bar can stay dismissed after you choose Accept or Decline. I do not set advertising cookies. There is no analytics tag on these pages. The hosting provider may process technical logs (such as IP address and user agent) as part of running the server; that processing is theirs, as described in their own notices.

More detail sits on the cookies page.

Hosting

This site is hosted on shared infrastructure provided by a third-party hosting provider. That provider is a processor of whatever technical data the server necessarily handles to deliver the pages and to receive a form post. I do not control their data centres.

How long correspondence is kept

E-mail about an enquiry that does not become an engagement is kept only as long as I need it to finish the conversation, and then deleted during a periodic tidy, which I aim to do within twelve months. If we work together, correspondence that records the scope and the handover is kept for as long as the engagement and a reasonable period after it, so I can answer a later question about what was delivered in 2026.

The signal list is kept until you ask to be removed, or until I close the list.

Your requests

You can ask what details I hold from your messages, and you can ask me to delete them, by writing to [email protected]. I will need enough information to find the right thread. If a legal duty requires me to keep a record, I will say so in the reply.

PDPA

I try to collect the minimum needed to reply, to state the purpose on the form, and to keep data in Singapore when that is the instruction you have given me for a build. That is a working approach to the PDPA, described here so you can see how the site behaves. I do not certify compliance, and this page does not replace advice from your own counsel.

Children

This site describes an engineering practice for organisations. It is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect details from them.
